Welcome to Braecote and Black Bull Barn …

Dear guests, we hope you and your loved ones are well.

Due to COVID 19 Braecote will be closed during May and June and as things stand we don’t know when we’ll be taking confirmed bookings again – this will of course depend on government guidelines. However, there’s no harm in planning ahead for the summer and we’re very happy to take provisional bookings (currently between July and November 2020) and your booking can be confirmed later when we know more.

From 1 July – 31 Oct 2020 our minimum booking period will be 5 nights. During November the minimum booking period will be 3 nights.

The wellbeing of our guests is very important to us, so for your safety and ours we will be introducing an enhanced cleaning regime (over and about our current high standards!) to ensure the cottage is a safe place for you to come and stay. As part of this process we will also be blocking 2 nights between bookings.

If you have booked with us we will be emailing you about 4 weeks ahead to check that you will still be visiting, but if you’d like to move your booking to later in the year please let us know.

We wish you the very best and stay safe.

Braecote in Coxwold and Black Bull Barn in Husthwaite are high quality self-catering holiday cottages for two in one of the most picturesque parts of North Yorkshire.

Close to the market towns of Easingwold and Thirsk, they lie on the southern edge of the North York Moor and are ideally located for exploring the historic city of York, the stunning East Coast and the Yorkshire Dales.

Braecote is perfectly placed for weddings at Newburgh Priory or dining at the Michelin starred The Black Swan at Oldstead.

Get away and unwind in a romantic bolthole for two, with stunning scenery, great walks, bags of history and a superb selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby.

Unfortunately, Black Bull Barn is not currently available to rent. Thank you to all our lovely guests who book every year and we hope to be renting again in the not too distant future.
